This thing is op, it isn't the most op thing to come out in tf2, but it's up there. The time it takes to re-level up your sentry after the sap is just deplorable. I was playing against the reddit team on one of their servers, and even without their team coming through the second it was placed, I still had to waste 400 metal to level it back up from my dispenser, and waste about 15 seconds to bring it back up and during that time, my team faltered, and I lost my nest, and the round (it was ctf). During that time, I had to stop leveling up my dispenser, which was healing my team once our medic was down. I had to waste a lot of metal that could of been used to upgrade my dispenser and my tele. The metal lost when you use this, is about 200-600 average, and with the normal sapper, its only about 150 max. Time wise, you are losing about 8-30 seconds, rather than 2-5.

If you look at the math; once your building is down to level one, it will take about 15 seconds to build it back up to a defense. That's a 15 second defense hole. 12.8 is the fastest it can be. And that's just if you save your sentry. And only your sentry is sapped. If your dispenser is sapped, and/or tele, you literally have to build you entire nest from scratch About 30 seconds to rebuild if your tele was also sapped. And if your dispenser is down, then you more than likely won't. And if it's at level 2, then you still have a 8~ second time if you immediately start to remove it, and the loss of 200 metal. Those times are saying if you are being constantly being fed metal, not including if you have to run around and get more.

Everyone is saying it isn't as good, because it takes much longer to destroy a building. But that's not the point. Usually the spy will kill the engie, but if he doesn't, and the engie immediately comes and de-saps, how is a level 1-2 sentry supposed to stop a push? How is a 1-2 dispenser or tele supposed to support your team? While they can, your almost guaranteed to lose ground, fall to that push, and more than likely affect the round. And once it is at level 1-2, you have to go find about 200-400 metal per building. That's a lot, and even if you do, the other team will know that there is a 15 second grace time that they can push through, where defenses are limited/lowered.

While I am taking these from a competitive viewpoint, in pubs this will have near the same effect. Bottom line, this sapper is op; especially on offense and stalemates. On defense, it is near the same use as the default, if not better.

That's the whole point of this sapper... you make the nest weak so your team can easily walk right through it. You pretty much say that it'd be the best to make sappers as weak as possible so engies can defend more easily... Oh, silly you. Take out pomson off the game and then talk things like that.

You sir are a very offending guy. You called me "bitching" and you called this guy "silly" when I only asked to hear
    opinions.
I don't think they should make the sapper weak as possible , I only say that the new sapper is a bad start for the new sappers , it's a bit OP and it should get nerfed more.

If you nerf the new sapper, it defeats the purpose of the new sapper. You'll be doing the same thing that happened to the tomisalv, which is nerfing the main function of the weapon. (Tomislav got nerfed twice and both were increased spin up time and silence)

After first seeing it on my sentry i was pissed but it does give light on more advancements on these PDA's. maybe something new for the engie PDA in the Man vs. Machine

The purpose of the new sapper is to downgrade (mostly sentries) to lower lvl and then let the team take them down.
By lowering the time that its take to downgrade a lvl 3 sentry from lvl 3 to lvl 1 (even though I think the time right
now is just fine) and making the sapper without the ability to destroy a building (aka turning it into a box),
The purpose of the sapper is staying just fine.

I would like to give thanks for someone actually nice on the internet. It kinda (not really) restores my faith in humanity. Thanks, but I'm used to it, hopefully he didn't offend you. And the guy is probably 12 anyway.

I love all of the math and simulated scenarios involving this weapon.

Not exactly, but it doesn't matter anyway. I actually can't understand how calling someone "silly" is offending... Same thing with "bitching", I didn't call anyone "bitch". Word "bitching" means same thing as "whining", so it doesn't offend anyone.

I love how people playing mainly engineers cry out loud because this sapper is so annoying that it doesn't matter for them that this sapper takes way longer to deconstruct a building completely. Something like pomson for spies, except this one isn't OP.

I was using the Red-Tape Recorder, and I went into a sentry nest of 4, and I actually destroyed everything. All sentries, all dispensers, and all teleporters. Nothing got fixed, because the engis tried to kill me and they couldn't. The Red team was actually raging how 1 spy completely destroyed a sentry nest of 4 and there was a PYRO there...
