    I have seen alot of people talking about duped stuff. I know what it is, and how to do it, but how do can you tell if an item is duped, or is there no way? Also trading value wise, what are they worth? I was offered a max's and an earbuds for my bmoc (I was pretty shocked), I pretty sure that they are duped, but how do I tell? And if they are, what do I do? I don't want to report them, but with more duped stuff in the market, it will have a negative impact on the item values, and have a negative impact on the tf2 community. Thanks for any feedback.

    An item is duped when 2 items share the same original ID

    I don't know a lot about duped items, but I heard somewhere that there's a site that tells you if the item is duped... On my oppinion you should make the trade and trade them away as fast as possible for the right prices = mega profit... That is unless you will feel guilty and stuff, then sure, don't do it.

    http://forums.acefortress.com/index...onest-price-checks-unusuals-items-games.4879/

    How to check if your item is duped:

    - Copy either the steam ID, profie ID, URL or name of the person who has the item.
    - Copy this info into www.tf2items.com
    - Check the item history. If it states:
    "This item potentially still exists.
    Check the user's backpack to verify."
    - Or if the there are two of the same item ID in the item history - Then it is duped.

    Example:
    My backpack -> http://www.tf2items.com/id/fairhonesttradingsamurai
    My duped item -> http://www.tf2items.com/item/821628400
    My non-duped item -> http://www.tf2items.com/item/837580802

    I would but if they are duped, it is hard to find a buyer for one :/

    So don't tell the buyer that they're duped! Easy as that.

    Can you use those duped items in crafting?

    Mostly items like buds, unusuals, etc. got duped so you normally not craft those.

    Even if they are duped they are worth way more than a bmoc

    To check if a item is duped you go on backpack examiner, check their item, click on it, and look at its history if the item could still be in someone elses backpack it will tell you, check their backpack and if they have one, compare the ID, if they have the same ID its duped.

    I wouldn't get into buying duped items if I were you there hard to sell and very taboo when it comes to honest traders.It would be wise just to stay away from them and the people who are trying to sell these unholy items.
